Verses for Christian Entrepreneurs

Good Afternoon Child of the Most High God,

It’s a brand NEW day. A fresh NEW start!

It’s Sunday afternoon and getting cooooold over here in Florida..

There’s a cold front coming in. It’s been windy and rainy all afternoon, and I hear the northern states are preparing for freezing temperatures.

Chuck taught in Kids church today and preached the 7 things Jesus said at the Cross! Wow! Powerful, powerful, powerful!

I think I’ll take his notes and share his sermon on here in the next couple of days.

Today I am sharing a few verses for you on the subject of wealth.

Too many times Christians believe wrongly that it is holy to be poor.

Actually…..

It’s HOLY to be humble.

It’s HOLY to be fully surrendered unto the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

It’s HOLY to be generous and bring the FULL tithe into the house of God and STILL be generous above and beyond that with an offering.

IT’S HOLY to give to the Kingdom of God and help orphans, widows, and others in need.

It’s HOLY to LOVE deeply and authentically and be the Hands and Feet of Jesus Christ.

But no where in the Bible is someone more righteous because they were in lack or under a poverty mindset.

There is the verse so often quoted that money is the root of all evil. But did you know the Bible doesn’t actually say that?

Here’s what it really says,

1 Timothy 6:9-10 ESV
[9] But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation, into a snare, into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. [10] For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.

The WARNING here is to CHECK your heart posture. We must NOT LOVE money nor simply desire to be rich. That is a problem. And if you look the verse up in context, there is also a warning to be content with the Lord and with food and clothing.

The takeaway here is to be content in ALL things.  The JOY of the LORD is our strength.

My salvation is found in JESUS alone. Period.

When I am in lack, He is enough.

When I am in abundance, He is still my main focus.

Money CANNOT be our PROVIDER.  GOD alone is our PROVIDER!

But money IS a resource!

It’s a means to finance the things we need and the things of the Kingdom.

Ministry needs resources.

Kingdom businesses need resources.

And if all of the resources of the world are in the hands of the evil, the greedy, and those not serving Jesus, that’s a real problem!

There is a whole mindset shift needed for the people of God to enter into the market place, open God honoring businesses, write books, create courses, create products, and more.

If Christians step into spaces of business where they previously shrunk back, the kingdom can advance in new ways, in new places, and Christians can show up and meet real financial needs for those who need help.

The Bible actually has alot to say about wealth, and it may surprise you!

If you are a Christian Entrepreneur, you need to be praying these verses everyday.

If you are experiencing financial struggle, pray these verses everyday.

If this message offended you, pray these verses and let the Word of God renew your mind.

Spend some time inquiring of the Lord if you have some misconceptions about His Word and money. Allow the Holy Spirit to guide you to revelation of what He wants to show you about wealth.

We must get into the Word and allow what the Bible says shape our beliefs, not tradition or what we’ve always thought based on what we’ve heard about God and money.

He is looking for trustworthy followers that He can bless who are surrendered unto Him, who are in proper alignment with their finances, who are wildly generous and who recognize that it’s ALL God’s anyway.

That money is simply a tool from God to fund what He is calling us to do!

I encourage you to study these verses and begin to pray them daily.

May you lean into these and receive fresh revelation that He who created you also desires for you to prosper!

Dear Lord,

Teach us. Show each of us what YOU desire from us. Teach us to be fully dependent on You, fully surrendered to You, fully obedient in EVERY area of our lives INCLUDING our finances. LORD, may we recognize that every single thing we have is from You and belongs to You.  May we be willing to give it all unto You however You call us to.  Shape us into generous givers who know how to steward wealth well and unto the advancing of the Kingdom of God.

           In Jesus’s Name, Amen..
