Remembering a Mighty Move of God

Good Morning Gorgeous,

It’s a brand new day. A fresh start. A new day to rise and look to the Lord to supply all that you need. He is right there with you, ready to minister to every single need in your body, your mind, your spirit, your home, your relationships, or your workplace. Wherever there is a need, He has the supply.

Today is an anniversary day in our home. Today is the two year anniversary of when I began to breathe in full breaths again. Today is the anniversary of when my sweet Cornelia Grace was declared legally my daughter. In a courtroom filled with love, Cornelia’s adoption was finalized. Her adoption story as many adoption stories was filled with a roller coaster of ups and downs and twisty turns. There were moments when my heart felt frozen with fear. Moments when my lungs forgot to breathe. Moments when I hit my knees and sobbed to Jesus until I didn’t have a tear remaining. There were also moments when God showed up so tangibly, I could feel Him. I could sense Him calming my racing heart. I could feel Him prompting my lungs to breathe. And a sense of calm and total trust in Him would replace the worry. I would have to hand over my baby’s future to the Lord everyday. I would tell Him that I trusted Him, and that she was His long before He entrusted her to me. That He knew the plans He had for her. He knew what needed to happen for His purposes to unfold in her life. He was going to have to move some big mountains if the adoption into our home was part of His plan. And He did! He worked a huge miracle. And today marks two years since I walked out of that courtroom breathing in full breaths again. Today marks two years of being able to dream of a future with her without fear. And it’s all because of a mighty move of God.

In the midst of daily life, I forget to pause and remember all of the miracles that God has worked in my life. There are so many times when He showed up and made a way when there was absolutely no other way. Yet, despite His goodness and mercy again and again, I still find myself worrying and doubting sometimes. I find myself allowing worry, anxious thoughts, unfounded fears, and the busyness of life to make me forget what a miracle working, mountain moving, sea parting, up close and personal God we serve.

So from time to time, its important to stir up those memories. It’s strengthening to tell our stories and to share the miracles with others. To tell of the times that He has provided a way for you when you couldn’t see a way out..The time He healed your body or your relationship. The time He provided for a financial need. The times He showed up and battled on your behalf. These stories rekindle our hope and strengthen our faith when we are waiting for a prayer to be answered.

Our family is praying for God to do something mighty, and we can’t make it happen alone. Only God can make the way. As we wait, we will remember that He has been faithful, and He will do it again.

The Israelites saw God move again and again in mighty, mighty ways. They saw Him send plagues into Egypt. They saw Him part the Red Sea. They saw Him rain manna from heaven so that they could eat. They experienced firsthand His deliverance, His provision, His kindness, and His guidance. Yet, they so quickly forgot. They forgot His might and His power whenever they hit trouble or needed provision. Instead of remembering all He had previously done and calling on Him again in prayer, they would get themselves into all sorts of trouble either complaining or trying to solve their problems their own way.

But He made His own people go forth like sheep, And guided them in the wilderness like a flock; And He led them on safely, so that they did not fear; But the sea overwhelmed their enemies. And He brought them to His holy border, This mountain which His right hand had acquired. He also drove out the nations before them, Allotted them an inheritance by survey, And made the tribes of Israel dwell in their tents Psalms 78:52‭-‬55

God is ever patient, and He made provision for them again and again. He will provide for you as well. Again and Again, the Lord will be faithful. As you pray for a mighty move of God, sit and reminisce about His previous provision and miracles. Allow the memories of His goodness to remind you of His faithfulness.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for my precious daughter. Thank You for the miracles You worked to place her permanently into our home, so that we could be a forever family. Thank You for making beautiful things even through painful loss. Thank You for being a miracle working, mountain moving God. Please bring back to our minds, all of the miracles You have worked in our lives. Strengthen us as we wait on Your timing and Your ways and Your miracle moving Hands. In Jesus’s name, Amen.

Had rained down manna on them to eat, And given them of the bread of heaven. Men ate angels’ food; He sent them food to the full. He caused an east wind to blow in the heavens; And by His power He brought in the south wind. He also rained meat on them like the dust, Feathered fowl like the sand of the seas; And He let them fall in the midst of their camp, All around their dwellings. So they ate and were well filled, For He gave them their own desire.

Psalms 78:24‭-‬29

Blessings and Miracles!!!
